Every quote is itemized so you can see what you're paying for. The factors below combine to produce the per-project number - none of them are hidden.
The pricing factors
- Material cost. Filament weight × per-gram rate for the material you've chosen. Specialty filaments cost more per gram.
- Print time. Machine hours × hourly rate. A larger or more detailed part takes longer.
- Setup and labour. File preparation, slicing, post-print inspection. A flat charge per project, not per part.
- Quantity discounts. Per-unit cost drops as quantity goes up - see Small-Batch Production for tier examples.
- Shipping. Quoted separately so you can see exactly what shipping costs.
